The Best NYC Pizza (And Restaurants) I Ate At In 2010

Although this may come as a huge surprise to some people, I eat a lot more than just pizza. In fact, pizza accounts for 3-4 meals of mine each week — only about 20% of the food I consume. It just so happens that two excellent pizza places made the top of my list of the 25 best places I ate at in NYC last year: Roberta’s and Paulie Gee’s. I always go back and forth as to which I like better. But at the time I composed the list, here’s where these places fell. They were the only pizza places to make the list. Only places I ate at for the first time were eligible.

1) Roberta’s (Bushwick) – Pizza
2) Paulie Gee’s (Greenpoint) – Pizza
3) Dirt Candy (East Village) – Vegetarian
4) Fort Defiance (Red Hook) – American

6) Convivio (Midtown East) – Italian

About I Dream Of Pizza

Some guys dream about winning the Powerball jackpot, making love to Kate Upton, or scoring the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl. But personally, I spend most of my time dreaming about digging my face into a mouth watering slice of pizza. Fireworks are ignited. Music comes out of nowhere. And just like that, I’ve fallen in love once again. Since 2008, I've chronicled my pizza eating adventures in New York City and around the world on I Dream Of Pizza -- the web's most popular blog dedicated entirely to pizza.
