Village Voice Names 10 Best NYC Pizzerias

Robert Sietsema of The Village Voice recently published a piece featuring the 10 best pizzeries in NYC. Roberta’s — landed at #4 on their list (around where I’d rank it). And Di Fara (my #1) came in at #3. Unlike many lists that are carelessly thrown out there, this one is pretty good. It’s upsetting (although not surprising) that Paulie Gee’s didn’t make the cut. And I’ve never been to Maffei, the 10th place on the list.

But perhaps the only major flaw is the place that landed in the number one spot. Although it’s a classic New York pizzeria, I was not impressed when I went there this summer.
