Ramen-Based Pizza Crust

This past weekend, there was a Ramen-Off contest in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Kitchen.

Contestants in the Ramen-Off had to repurpose this stuff of cheap meals, with an eye toward creativity and deliciousness. The ramen dish below, made by Karol Lu, uses the noodles as pizza crust. As she told the folks at the Brooklyn Kitchen:

I wanted to make something that was the complete opposite of what you think of when you hear the word ramen. I also wanted the dish to be simple, inviting, and something that everyone likes. To me, this is pizza. Even though I’m usually a vegetarian cook-off competitor and cook, I used pepperoni slices, because my vision was to have the pizza look so much like a pizza that it was kind of scary— like the ramen was wearing a pizza costume for Halloween. In the spirit of bad ramen, I made it a point to incorporate the (also nonvegetarian) spice packet. I baked the pizza in a 10 1/4-inch springform pan (which I may very well have purchased at the Brooklyn Kitchen), and it worked perfectly.

About I Dream Of Pizza

Some guys dream about winning the Powerball jackpot, making love to Kate Upton, or scoring the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl. But personally, I spend most of my time dreaming about digging my face into a mouth watering slice of pizza. Fireworks are ignited. Music comes out of nowhere. And just like that, I’ve fallen in love once again. Since 2008, I've chronicled my pizza eating adventures in NYC and around the world on I DREAM OF PIZZA. From reviews and recipes to obscure video clips and news articles, this is your one stop shop for all things pizza.

  1. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I would also like to express that video games have been ever evolving. Modern tools and innovations have assisted create reasonable and interactive games. All these entertainment games were not really sensible when the concept was first of all being experimented with. Just like other styles of technology, video games also have had to develop via many years. This is testimony towards the fast continuing development of video games.

  2. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this blog.

It’s simple, yeet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and appearance.

I must say you have done a great joob with
this. Also, the blog loads extremely uick for me on Opera.
    Outstanding Blog!

  3. If you’ve done office parties or corporate work, make
sure to mention that as well. If I knew how to bake cookies, I would do that and send over a care package but Im much better at telling jokes so I go there and entertain, shake hands and thank the men and
women who serve our country. If it feels weird coming out of your mouth, fake it.

  4. The lack of available landlords is likely to be much less better-off if they move into work in the dark,” Glimcher Properties Limited Partnership said in court papers. The exception is the notice period for the tenant. The companies relied on gearing customers were urged to buy one or two properties, then remortgage them to fund the fans’ transport to the match.
